Our clubs are a valuable opportunity to explore new skills in an accepting and encouraging environment. Spread over 4 locations, including 2 registered care homes, an assisted living facilities and our purpose built day centre, our learning disabled clients have a place where they feel comfortable to develop skills, explore hobbies and just be.
Every week our walking club goes out on a refreshing walk to experience the scents, sights and sounds of natures best. Often visited locations include Epping Forest, Woodberry Wetlands and Finsbury Park.
Air Walkers >
Our clients love the delightful music-making sessions. They get to play a choice of different instruments and sing along to their favourite songs. Their moods, like light bulbs, switch from dark to light and happiness and good cheer replace feelings of sadness and depression.

Our garden is a plant haven, with a rainbow of different flowers and plants. It also boast a unique wall display using recycled green bottles. Clients exhibit special affection for the plants and love the planting, watering and cutting stages. They especially cherish their tomato plants and are so proud when they see it on the dinner table.
ExSEED >
Our users create custom-made wall displays for local schools, sold at a minimal cost. Activities include computer graphics, cutting, drawing, sticking, painting and more. Users delight in feeling part of the working society, selling their very own artwork.

Our very own soap workshop provides numerous interesting and creative work opportunities for participants, including weighing, mixing, use of colour, fragrances, shaping the soap, cutting, decorating, wrapping, labelling and packaging for sales and distribution.
Scentastic >
Our baking workshops run weekly. The co-ordinator distributes recipe cards with pictures to make the instructions accessible for all clients, no matter their reading skills. Users delight in mixing and forming different textures, and of course eating the delicious finished product.
Ready, Set, Bake! >
Our weekly biking club enables all our users, no matter their level of skills or abilities to get on wheels and experience the freedom of cycle riding. It is a much loved activity and the favourite of many.
CycleU >
Our cookery club teaches users vital skills to be able to indepenedently cook their own food. Every week a different recipe is explored and after the cooking is completed, clients delight in
eating the food that they prepared on their very own.
Soup-a-stars >
Fruit carving and arranging is quite the learning curve for our learning disabled users, but when they see the final bouqet or platter they proudly exclaim that it was worth the effort. Our fruit carving workshops are a real hit.

Our Impact
How we know it's working
Our work is based on evidence; impact assessments and service evaluations form an integral part of what we do. Our Yad Voezer members help us to shape and enhance our services and as such each user periodically completes a short questionnaire after any activity they do with us.
Yad Voezer is proud of its achievements; we received the Investors in People award 3 times running. The Quality Care Commission regularly inspects our homes too and have rated us Good in the most recent inspection.
